Of course, I saved the ladies for last. Why wouldn’t I? They’re always putting themselves last on the list. They’re probably out today throwing elbows to grab what ever hot new toy their kids and husbands want and they might throw a pair of cozy socks in their cart for themselves if they think about it.
Listen, kids and spouses, if you haven’t already bought the middle-aged lady in your life something, at least get her this book.
If this cuts off in your email, you can always click here and see the entire list on my site.
Caracilia Wide Leg Lounge Pants - Yes, I hate pants. HOWEVER, if I have to wear them, then I want comfy pants and I’m loving this whole wide leg trend that’s happening now. I can get behind wearing pants that are so loose they don’t feel like pants!

ODODOS Belt Bag - Back in the day we called these “fanny packs” but they’re cool now, so they’re belt bags. All I know is I want one. I’m tired of hauling around a giant bag. This bag would hold just enough and it would give my back a break.

Tarot Cards - In Midlife Bites I wrote about my experiences with a lot of different things. Do you know which chapter is the most popular with the people who email me? The chapter about when I had a session with an energy worker and intuitive artist. They always want more details. They want to know where they can find someone they can talk to. So many women are interested in this kind of stuff and a good place to start is learning about tarot.

Rocketbook Everlast Reusable Smart Notebook - My desk is a hot mess of scrawled notes and ideas on random Post-It Notes, backs of envelopes, scraps of notebook paper, and even a few receipts. I love handwritten notes. I think better with pen and paper, but then I lose a lot of what I’ve written down. Not to mention how expensive (and wasteful) Post-It Notes can be! This notebook is endlessly usable and digitally connected with an app. It’s impossible to lose all my great ideas (and shopping lists).

Long Vest - Last winter I saw a woman out shopping and she was wearing this vest and I literally stopped her to ask where she found it. I love a good vest. As someone who runs a little hot, vests are a great way to stay warm and cool all at the same time. But there was something about that long vest that made me think, “Oooh, there’s a fancy vest!” I bought the vest and this fall was my first time wearing it and women are stopping me everywhere asking where I found my fancy vest.

Mantle Mirror - We’ve lived in our house for 18 years now and in 18 years the only new things I’ve bought for this house are sheets, towels, and a few rugs. I’ve decided it’s time to update a few things. Starting with my mantle. I have been eyeing these elaborate mirrors for a while now and I think it’s time to snag one.

INGLAM 8-in-1 Interchangeable Ceramic Barrels - If you know me, then you know I love a good curling iron. And I have a good curling iron, but sometimes I want a bunch of different sizes and types of curls and this one has everything I need. It won’t matter if my hair is short or long, there’s a barrel for everything. The only downside is I’ll have to share it with Adolpha.

Ninja Foodi Possible Cooker - I’ve had the same sofa for 18 years and I’ve had the same crockpot for 25. It’s time to upgrade to something new. I saw this and decided I could probably get rid of my oven. Seriously, though, between this and my airfryer, who needs an oven?

Coffee Mug Warmer - I love a good cup of tea when I’m in my office. Last year Adolpha bought me a fabulous electric kettle and this year I’m hoping she’ll get me the mug warmer. I get distracted when I’m working and I forget about my tea. By the time I come back to it, it’s cold. I know she can’t afford the Ember Mug but I’m super good with something basic.

Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Creme - If you are a woman of a certain age, then you know that your skin goes through the wringer when you hit middle-age. I was battling dry patches AND acne. What the hell? So, I asked around and after a lot of trial and error, I landed on this miracle cream. No more breakouts, no more dry patches, and maybe a few less wrinkles? The wrinkles are hard to judge, they’re just there now, but maybe they’d be worse? Who knows. All I know is I love this stuff.

Jolilab Eyeshadow Sticks - Again, this is my for middle-age friends. We’ve reached a point in our lives where we really don’t want to put anything dusty on our faces. A friend turned me onto to eyeshadow sticks about a year ago and I’m not going back to regular eyeshadow again. These go on smooth, stay on all day, and don’t require a lot of time or effort. I’m putting these in my stocking and I’m going to act surprised.

Conversation Cards - I hate small talk. I suck at it. That’s why I always like these kinds of card decks where you can find things to talk about other than the weather. I also think these would be good for family dinners. When you ask teenagers questions, you get a lot of grunts. This one has a ton of questions and I’m hoping there’s something in here that would force them to open up and tell me all the good stuff.
