Watched the Netflix documentary and felt Alex M’s past was catching up to him just when he murdered his wife and son. I think the only person who couldn’t see the writing on the wall was Alex.
yep. completely surprised given his wealth and whiteness. i’m still convinced he’s going to Cupcake Prison but time will tell. i do feel sad for the victims of his murder-y narcissism. most people have the right to live (i’m iffy on people who commit crimes against kids or kick dogs) and we can’t know what kind of lessons they might have learned or what positive impact they might have had on the world. or, maybe they would have been selfish jerks. who knows? as a pal of mine once said, “even assholes have a right to be here.”
But I still say that whole county needs to be investigated: the law firm, law enforcement, the judiciary. All of it. Alex isn’t the only Murdaugh (or the only person in this mafioso-like web of corruption) deserving of jail.
Surprised it took 3 hours. They must've taken a long lunch to make it look like they didn't all know he was guilty before even being charged with deliberating.
I am not surprised that the jury found him guilty AF. I am surprised that he was sentenced to life. I felt sorry for his wife, Maggie and their son, Paul because no one deserves to die like that. I also felt bad for Buster as the jury read the verdict because now he has lost both his parents and his brother. I was lambasted on Facebook for saying so because people were saying Buster was known for being no good and was rumored to have murdered someone else. I hadn't heard that before. I did read somewhere that Paul was physically violent with a former girlfriend, though I don't know of that's really true either. Just a tragic turn of events resulting in justice served.
I’ve not gotten to deep into this story but find myself wanting to catch up on it. He sounds like a terrible person who is complete trash. He won’t last long I’m sure ...
I think both, Jen. He was born this way (genetics are fascinating to me) and his life of privilege had afforded him no consequences... Until now. *clapping"
Drug addiction destroys lives in many different ways. Sounds like an understatement. He should have been locked up years ago and treated for as
Many years as it takes. But we have addicts living on our sidewalks. And we wonder why these pitiful people suddenly attack innocent people just walking down the street to work or drugstore.? Murdaugh is an addict lucky enough to live at home...til he murdered his family.
Yes and still full of wtf’s?! Interested in what gets uncovered next. Also can’t get out of my head the rumor (supposedly there are witnesses) that Randolph III was at Moselle that night... curious when added to the rumor that he was overheard telling Alex, ‘You take care of Paul or I will.’ Def can’t make this stuff up.
Didn't follow the trial but sure know of the subject in question. Glad of the result! Yep public are seeing through the BS of of rehearsed privilege. How long and where he stews is out of debate?
Not as surprised as I am relieved. We watched that new Netflix series and I had remembered seeing a few 20/20 episodes or whatever on the boating incident then his wife and son. Glad to see some light at the end of the tunnel especially with the huge family name.

I’m shocked as well.

Nope I knew he was guilty from the start just by looking at his eyes 👀.
Totally! And I am overjoyed!

Not surprised but very glad. I feel his life in prison is for all the clients he ripped off too.

Honestly I am in love with the fact justice was served and in a timely manner. The ones who were lost were a tragic loss. May they rest in peace
