I have a quick break in between hosting game shows today, and I thought it would be a good time to check my Poshmark account and see how many dresses I bought last night.
Sell some of that shit that's piling up in your garage that you bought to "refinish", get online with Land's End or L.L. Bean and buy yourself a decent linen shirt that doesn't cost a million bucks, a pair of linen shorts/pants (ALSO not a million bucks) and 3 pair of colored High Tops (they now come in all kinds of bloody designs--Mary janes, platforms, etc.) and just flippin' GOOOOO!
REEF has some super cute but still comfy sandal styles right now. I just bought a pair and even though they’re waterproof and great for the beach I can also pair them with a dress and wear them to my corporate office job.
I wish I could help but I'm still hung up on my jealousy about having a bestie! You see if have no friends. I only leave the house for doctors appointments where I can get away with wearing my flannel jammies and any t-shirt I can reach from the shelf in my closet.
Anyh9w, I hope you have a wonderful trip. Have a drink for me!
I think it was on reddit where people were trying to figure out how White Lotus's Belinda ( before she blackmailed well and became rich) could afford all of her gorgeous outfits. The general consensus was that Walmart had some pretty nice caftans and that she must have shopped at thrift store at her home base of Hawaii. My friend who lives there confirmed it--rich ladies drop a lot of last seasons cabana wear which is then snatched up by the struggling cabana workers. It's a cycle. Old navy has a couple of linen-like summer dresses, as does torrid (which, despite what everyone thinks, starts at size 10). Anyways- check out torrid for tea length or midi or mini (warning- although lovely, their maxi is super maxi) and buy a few lacy kimonos. You'll be golden.
Really nice article
snarky t-shirts that say shit like, “I bite.”
LOL You can do better.
"I don't like making plans for the day because then the word 'premeditated' gets thrown around in the courtroom."
"The last thing I want to do is hurt you -- but it's still on the list."
Have you looked at the offerings on BloomChic? Dresses with pockets. Reasonable prices.
And lipstick? Try Color the World lipsticks. They show each color on an arm so you can see how it will look on your skin tone.
Hope you have a great trip!
Don't do BloomChic. I got burned with a dress that looked really cute but when it arrived it was poorly made, cheap fabric, and hung like a sack.
Also Walmart has caftans that don’t cost a billion dollars. My favorite red lipstick is Maybelline Super stay matte ink in color 80 Ruler
