This is the most thorough and thoughtful take I have seen on this yet. You are giving some Daily Show-levels of current event recaps and I am here for it.

I love every single word, you covered this escape from a mental institution beautifully, I'm just wild about your writing and your free-flowing rage, here for it, all day, every day.

This is wonderful! I’m also obsessed with the videos, and the photo of the man in the Crocs could be my favorite thing of 2023.

This is the only thing I’ve read about this brawl, and I’ve read enough. Perfection.

Jen you are my hero. Thank you for breaking this down for us. It is extremely upsetting that these white people get away with this crap all of time. The ones arrested will most likely get a slap on the hand by a white judge they donate to. Mark my words.

I'm a People "I Want to Punch in the Throat" kind of person, too. Your description was better than anything else I've heard on the subject. Sadly, it'll be a wrist slap for the ones they arrest. If Damien had thrown the first punch he'd be in jail and sentenced to the longest possible amount of time. There's so much of this shit happening that I'm getting to "Stab" instead of "Punch."

I had to delete TikTok for my sanity, so I was only getting bits and pieces of this from other socials. Thanks for the breakdown. I understood the gist of what happened, and I’m in full agreement that the pontoon crew both started the fight and deserved to have their butts handed to them.

Love you, Jen! I pine for the days when people not only knew what the Golden Rule is but they actually practiced toward each other.

I had no idea this happened. It makes me sad and just strengthens my resolve to stay out of the deep south.

I do not consider Texas or Florida part of the deep south.
